WISH National Conference
Wednesday 28th October 2009
Radisson Hotel, Glasgow
This free conference is for anyone who is involved in sexual health and wellbeing, including policy makers, practitioners from health, local authority and the voluntary sector, researchers and academics. WISH 2009 will work in a multidisciplinary way to explore how to make the links between sexual health and other strategies and frameworks. There will be presentations on culture change, gender-based violence, supporting the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence 'experiences and outcomes', supporting young people to delay sex and an exploration of social marketing approaches in supporting sexual health behaviour change.
The conference will provide many opportunities for networking and will stimulate discussion around current topics of interest in sexual health. In order to celebrate success and highlight examples of good practice in Scotland the conference will end with the 2009 WISH Awards ceremony.
