Asthma is a common disease in childhood. It currently affects about 1 in 7 children and its prevalence is increasing. Wheezing illness is an important cause of respiratory distress in the young child, while asthma symptoms disrupt the lives of many older children and their families, causing them to limit their activities and lose time from school.

Module Delivery
Comprehensive written materials supported by study days. Study days will take place on 25th February 2005 and 16th and 17th June 2005 and will be held at Stirling Management Centre.
Assessment There is one formal assessment day comprising:
Oral presentation
Short answer questions
2 pieces of coursework
