Knowledge of remit of PNs do appear sketchy!  Perhaps antagonised the delegates rather than thought provoking.

Excellent

Super

Very good.  A real update.

Interesting but haven’t we heard similar before.

Great – what a good way to get the message across.

Excellent and useful.  Great for after lunch.

Always pertinent and up to date.

Informative.  Food for thought.

Very enjoyable.  Thought provoking.  Great way of getting a message across.

Hilarious while acknowledging an unmet need.

Very helpful.  Clear & succinct speaker.  Very informative.

Thought this talk asked for questions than it answered.  Maybe going over old ground again & again.

Marvellous!   Enjoyed every minute of it.  Makes a refreshing change of presentation.  Simple, common sense message.

Marvellous!  Very enjoyable with a serious message.  The best ‘after lunch’ speaker I have ever heard.  Informative very nice empathetic lady.

Very good and interesting talk.  Very clear and knowledgeable.  Enjoyed very much.

Updated info hopefully highlighted how grass roots have not been involved in review.  Raised more questions than answers.

Well presented, highlighted the wider influences on obesity.

Entertaining talk.  Thought provoking.

Informative, knowledgeable, well presented.

Enjoyed Alison’s talk – however I feel it will be some time before all of the objectives will be realised.

Very enlightening and realistic, thought provoking.  I wish some of our patients could see this sketch.  A very hard subject to deal with.

Sharon approached a very personal & delicate subject with humour and dignity.  Not easy to do.  Enjoyed her talk very much.

Very interesting talk and some new information as well.  We will watch this space.

Food for thought.  An uphill struggle.  Very informative.

Excellent.

Outstanding, first class.

Excellent.

Could not hear speaker clearly.  Did not find the subject matter particularly interesting.

Novel presentation, enjoyed it very much.  However, did not really learn anything new.

Excellent.  Funny with without ridiculing an important issue.

Very good clear speaker.

Informative as my first SPNA conference.

Unusually presented which captured my attention & brought a lot of issues to my mind.

A very entertaining but informative lecture.  Thoroughly enjoyable.

A good refresher updated talk on healthy travel – many questions made it a bit long winded however.

Interesting ideas.  ? how easy to implement.

Good and well presented.

Excellent, as good as last time I heard her.

Excellent, very informative.

Highlighted a lot of issues to be ironed out.

Excellent presentation.  Fresh angle on the problem.

Excellent speaker.  Very entertaining.  Thought provoking.

Informative, lecturer very knowledgeable.

Interesting & controversial.

Novel presentation.

Important message.  Delivery very humorous.

Very useful.

Fantastic presentation put across in a new way.

Funny talk with serious message.

Always very interesting.  Very informative talk.

Difficulty hearing speaker.  Got very irritated as time went on.  Glad when finished.  Found questions, answers & comments interesting & informative.

Excellent, informative, thought provoking, topical & interesting/entertaining.

Highly entertaining, informative, relevant & thought provoking.

Very informative & interesting.  All relevant points addressed.

Interesting & idealistic but got impression that very few if any practice nurses have been involved in the initial stages.  Agreed with several of the comments from the audience.

An amusing novel way of getting important information & ideas across.

Brilliant.

Good speaker – feel PNs are already involved and have developed skills in the aims of this project.

Novel & interesting insight to obesity.

Not an area of COPD care I thought too much about..  Excellent speaker.

Good update on vaccines, lots of valuable information.

Dry.

Great, brilliant presentation, different.

Fantastic, made the subject easy to listen to.

Very good, interesting, excellent presentation.

Dry subject.

Well presented simple message, eat less move more.  Double act was super.

This topic was useful for lots of other chronic diseases.  Excellent & funny talk.  Well done, super speaker.

Good new information.  Very good speaker.

Many problems, good practice in some areas but unless we work as a Primary Health Care Team and are funded from either HBs or GPs will not work.

Excellent presentation.  Good team.

Excellent as always.  Informative, funny, food for thought.

Good speaker.  Interesting subject, liked the informal style.

Nothing new.  Would have liked more audience participation.  Do not like ‘local community nurse’ title.  Local and community interchangeable to me.  Bring back sisters!

Brilliant.

Brilliant – should be on stage.

Very informative.

Interesting points.  Raised many more questions than answers!

A refreshing change.  Well presented.  Makes you think.

Another thought provoking presentation.  Good to listen to and informative.

Full of useful tips and advice.  A good chance to go over the topics.

Informative lecture but feel “integration/working as a team” will be the biggest stumbling block.  DNs still resistant to GMS contract tasks.

Very simple innovative presentation but very profound.  Certainly hits home that economic pursuit is one of the main contributions of obesity & that Government could help change with legislation.

Hugely entertaining talk, delivering a very serious message.

Informative, interesting, educational.

All sounds good, but cannot see it working until PN, DN etc. are employed by somebody.

Excellent presentation.

Fabulous.

Very informative and useful.

Will be difficult to put into practice but look forward to seeing outcome.

Entertaining/amusing presentation but no answers.

Very entertaining as always.  Lots of food for thought.

Excellent update on current issues.

Excellent presentation but huge changes will need to be made to allow this to happen.

Excellent presentation interestingly done.  Very thought provoking.

What can one say – absolutely fantastic – difficult subject addressed excellently.

Excellent knowledgeable lady.  Well presented.  Not my field but very interesting.

Useful to get an overview of the factors involved.

Very helpful at showing the problem and the many issued and complexities involved in causing obesity.

Excellent – thought provoking.  I would like copies of the leaflets.

Very helpful practical update.  Very useful.  Answered my questions.

Very interesting talk.  I didn’t know of the review being new to PNing and look forward to looking into it more via the website.

A great presentation.  Captures the audiences attention.  Lots of food for thought (pardon the pun!)

Hilarious but very informative and look forward to putting it into practice.

Very interesting.  Didn’t like the purple slides though.

Interesting but ….. doesn’t seem to understand that unless PN,DN,HV are all employed by the same person/HB it will never work.  Lead nurses are big problem.

Very well presented.  Enjoyed.  Makes you think – Government need to do something now.

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant.

Very interesting.  Good update.

I was disappointed that Alison’s talk lasted ¾ hour which meant very little time was available for questions.

Novel approach.  As they said though, it is easy to talk about the cause of the problem, the challenge is to suggest and carry out solutions.

Perfect balance of humour & serious message.

Very helpful.

Good talk.  A lot of work gone into the review.  I hope there is a good structure in the community at the end of it.

Good discussion – hopefully again things will change from the top and filter down to make a healthier nation.

Excellent – difficult to broach subject with patients.

Very good update.

Good talk, well presented.  Nice to know what our future might be.

Very good presentation, nice to have something different and look at the bigger picture.

Very good talk, enjoyed presentation.  Will change my practice in future.

Very good update, good detail and questions answered.

A really important subject, but more time needed for discussion.  Presentation ‘polished’ but it reinforced the sense that speaker didn’t really focus on the perspective of PNs.  Very few PNs knew about the questionnaire (-108 response 8-10% were PNs!)

Really excellent presentation.  Thought provoking but not heavy going!  Made me want to dust down my bicycle.

Excellent talk! (even though I’ve heard it before).  Fun, but important messages.

Very clear and informative.

Would have preferred something more directly relevant to PNing.

Excellent and original presentation.

Excellent, very funny, but with a serious message.

Interesting & informative.  Well presented.

Excellent presentation – but might be difficult to implement without dramatic change in funding, i.e. GPs salaried.

Superb presentation – very thought provoking.  Was not aware that cigarette executives are now in the food industry but doesn’t surprise me.

Excellent and funny presentation.  One of the best speakers ever.  Very informative.

Good speaker – very relevant and informative.

I felt this was a reiteration of all that’s gone before and until some staff change their opinions things won’t change but nice idea!

Superb presentation – reassuring to know it’s not just us at root level who fail in weight management when we are faced with these massive profit making companies.

Excellent, what else can I say!

Very relevant.

Very informative.  Having attended previous review of Nursing in the Community it’s interesting to hear how it is progressing.  Good speaker – easy to listen to and take in.

Unusual and very enjoyable presentation.  Clear messages portrayed although it was so light hearted.  Felt it was a refreshing and ‘new’ approach to the subject.  Excellent.

Light hearted but excellent presentation/speaker.

Some very useful ‘snippets’!

Very good, different presentation and much appreciated.

Super – entertaining and poignant.

Excellent: full of good, informative changes.  Really good and valuable.

Despite the opening statement that this is a review of Nursing in the Community as a whole – the focus was definitely on care for housebound patients.  We need a much more bottom-up approach to policy and development.  Nurses that have been qualified for over 10 years do not need to be told to foster good patient, family relationships.

Thank you for an excellent talk!

Brilliant and thought provoking.  Thank you.

Very interesting and useful.

Audio was not very good.  Difficulty in hearing at times.

Excellent – well played roles.  Very pertinent.

Excellent – funny but serious.  Well worth thinking about in future appointments.

Good update.  Margaret is always very informative.

Not a lot of information on practice nursing and where it fits in with community nurse review.

Really interesting presentation.  Very thought provoking.

Very amusing but does make you think about this very emotive subject.

Very informative, knowledgeable about the subject.

Very interesting insight as to what is ahead in Community Nursing.   Lots of issues to be addressed and lots of pertinent questions.  What will be the end result??

Extremely enjoyable interaction with very different way of looking at causes of obesity.  Most enjoyable and thought provoking.

Excellent speaker, truly inspiring.  Made a difficult subject easily understood with importance of approaching topic with patients.

Excellent presentation of a very important topic with constant changes in all vaccine areas.  Many questions answered in depth.  Most enjoyable.

Clear presentation.  Updated knowledge on recent white papers.  However no ground breaking news unfortunately.

A very novel presentation of the problem of obesity.  Highlighted the importance of societal change influencing health.

Excellent very informative and funny.  Managed to approach a sensitive subject with lots of humour but plenty practical advice.

Very good update on topical issues, i.e. Rabies.  Clarified areas over TB, Rabies and vaccine boosters.

Interesting – but think she has a job on her hands!  Felt sorry for speaker interrupted by so many late comers.

Different slant on important topic.  Food (sorry!) for thought.

Fab!  Great speaker and entertaining fun talk on a serious subject.

Very informative talk on a vast subject.  Very knowledgeable speaker.

Pre-draft ‘model’ interesting – food for thought.  Could have used microphone more effectively.

Alternative delivery lecture appreciated – info not new but ‘back to basics’ – needs social reform not easy fix.

Excellent orator.  Common sense info – easily applied method to current practice to enable discussion with patients.

Excellent presentation – chose specific areas.  Up to date info/relevant/very interesting.

Interesting.

Good presentation.  Interesting.

Excellent speaker.  I will certainly broach this subject now.

Excellent presentation.  More please.

Well presented, informative and entertaining.

Excellent discussion – very entertaining.

I thought we were doing most of this anyway.

Very good.  Thought provoking.

Very good talk.  Will try to implement where possible.

Lots of info – interesting but vague and no real solutions as yet.  Slides very busy.

Very good and funny.  Well presented and very thought provoking.

Excellent presentation – humorous, touching and very informative.

Good, informative presentation.  Clear & easy to listen to.

Informative, as this is really the first time have had anyone explain what is taking place.

Different & entertaining.  Did leave you thinking you were banging your head against a brick wall though!

Best after-dinner speaker ever.  No way would you fall asleep during this one.  Gave much food for thought.

As always, with travel medicine, informative is being updated constantly and it’s always good to have a refresher.  Had never even heard of ‘Chikungunya’ before!

Useful update on  possible future developments.  Hopefully strengthened links with SPNA.

Excellent talk.  Should be given to politicians also.

One of the best speakers I have heard.  Not only fun but very informative.

Excellent, picked up a lot of up to date info & updates.
